Now is the time to say everything I think about you without any consequences for me ;) And, to be serious, now is the time for me to say good bye. And in a few years you will know by yourself how difficult it is. How difficult it’s to go not because everyone wants you to leave :), but when everyone would rather want you to stay.

I’m saying goodbye to the work I have been doing for the last four years. I’m saying goodbye to something that has been the biggest part of my life since I’ve joined this organization. I’m saying goodbye to everything that has helped me to find my best friends, my love and my passion.

I’ve given a lot of my time, work and nerves in here, but I’ve received much much more. And at this very moment I have hundreds of flashbacks in my head. They send me back in my memory to the situations when I felt silly, hopeful, passionate, motivated, sometimes disappointed, often tired, but always having this happy feeling deep inside me. The feeling that came from realization that we are doing very important things here. That we ARE really changing the world around us, even if this world and this change starts with us.

And I am very happy NOW and HERE that this feeling, after all these years, is still with me. And now I’m happy and hopeful when I look at you – current and next generations of this organization.

There’s nothing we can be sure 100% in our lives, but there’s at least one thing that I am positive about. It’s understanding that I’m leaving full time work in here, but I’m not leaving you – my dear friends. And I’m not leaving my passion. Understanding that you can count on me as an alumna of this organization at any moment, in any project and any work. On me and my money, of course, which is probably more interesting news for you ;)

And the last thing I want to say for all those who haven’t been on LCC and for all who have, one more time – THANK YOU for being with me these 4 years and especially this last year. You are wonderful, each one so special and so dear to me.

You made me smile, laugh, cry, feel happy, challenged, sometimes sad, sometimes you made me feel right or wrong, but all the emotions and all of these challenges, mistakes and achievements, have just made me better and stronger.

Thank you for listening, not only today, but all these years ;) Thank you for your smiles and hearts. And thanks for all that you, for all that WE are doing together.

some times I am think - what give me AIESEC....
I'm remind about that every time when I meet people from, or found them in letters in my ebox..
The wide ride of possibilities .. the biggest chance to be as you want! The biggest power to realize my dreams - Aiesec give me people! AIesec show me possibilities! AIEsec give me undersanding! AIESec give me protection and don't still me one to one with exceptions! AIESEc give me besides all feelings, best memoryes and Friends! AIESEC - it is a Life! He is not brand, Aiesec is way! He is style of you decision, the psychology of the choices, the point of vision ... vision of own life, values, dreams.
This impossible to Understand before and this is impossible to leave this after.
All what you do after, - you can relate with changes that you does bring in you life by power of your choice one time ago...
People - they are carriers of this power of this vision of this sense! - I Love you all even I have not meet you personally ...
Values - they touch every soul so deep! I was born with them and tried to explain them to my parents and all around me, when I was child - but not one listen me then...
Power - this is synergy of all souls what was touched by AIESEC! - I feel them all when we together, when we reach or put new goals, when I cry from happiness or when I feel pain, even if I very far I feel it, because we always stay on distance to thoughts.
Aiesec is the promise to yourself that you can do everything .. and power off all people who was here before or will come here - with you! ... all love of that people - with You!

Finally, we are all back to our sweet homes after week-long conference for old and new EBs. I have only one word to describe it - AMAZING. Amazing work, amazing fun, amazing amazing teams,productivity, amazing challenges, amazing EXPERIENCE. Both for your old and new EB ;)

I also want to share with you again the wonderful things that happened to us and to other LCs in Ukraine.

On Thursday we had Award Ceremony - to reward the most outstanding LCs for their work this year, for best results in our Core Work and striving for AIESEC 2010 (exchanges, membership growth, increasing of leadership opportunities, activeness on local and national levels, etc.)

First of all, the best seller of the year in AIESEC in Ukraine was recognized and awarded. The Selling Trophy - for outstanding results in raising TNs, partnerships, learning and content partners, the best results in all AIESEC in Ukraine went to....

Our dearest, incredible and absolutely wonderful... Lilia Sidel'nyk!!! !

Liliok, thanks for all your strivings, for hard work and such an amazing input to the results LC has right now, for the growth in TNs we are having!! Urrraaaa!!!! !!

The second award that night was within the frames of JUST RAISE IT! Campaign in Ukraine - for the best results in raised TNs and partnerships.

The second prize went to Ternopil!

And the first place was taken by.... Lviv!!!!

We have again proved our ability as an LC to work in a really great way - and now we need to support these results and make sure that we can work like this not only for an award, but for overall LC results!

I want to say the biggest thanks to Nastia Avdeyeva, who has initiated our participation in the campaign, to Lilia Sidel'nyk and of course Katia Syrota, who have contributed the most to the results of the campaign, as well as everyone else, who made a huge amount of calls, meetings, talks with our potential partners - you are all a part of this success!!!

And the best LCs this year - three main award of this year are...

Bronze Excellence Award - Ivano-Frankivsk!

Silver Excellence Award - Kyiv!

And finally...

Golden Excellence Award went to the LC, which has already realized two PBoXs successfully, and has shown an incredible growth and achievements for a small city it is, it's Ternopil!!!

I want you to congratulate these LCs and the friends you have in these LCs, because this is really an amazing experience to get this kind of recognition, and we in AIESEC in Ukraine should really be proud of having LCs with such results and achievements! !

The last thing I want to say right now is THANK YOU to my dear Lara, Bashnia, Sovist', Poops, for all the moments we've had as an old EB on this conference, our last working conference together. And Lilia, who we called and missed as a part of Babs'ka Team on SpringCo - you've again made me realize how much I love you, value and appreciate your work and spirit this year!

I also want to show my inspiration by the new EB team of AIESEC in Lviv - you are so wonderful, so smart, so passionate, so hard working, you've really ROCKED the conference!! ! Thanks for all your efforts and striving to learn and do as much as possible! You'll have an incredible year together as a team and as a leading body of our LC! And I am so much proud of all of you!

Yes of course , and a lot of them I had during LCC.
When I came back home I felt that I was leaving these 2 days for my personal development, for contributing to the learning of others.
Sometimes our everyday work is a routine, but usually there are moments and people that inspires you to work harder and harder in order to make an impact and then there are moments when you feel, like you are on seven heaven , `cause of learning, contributing, and being a member of the coolest organisation, that have ever existed.

But remember one thing: in AIESEC we have self-driven learning, and no one can teach you something in case you don`t want to learn. Keep in mind AIESEC is A world of opportunities. SO live your life as you want, achive your dreams, contribute to your society, create your own path in this world, as you live just once and There’s a special part every one of us will play!!!!!!!!!!!

Message to New Horizons faci

At last I gathered myself and my thoughts a little bit to write here a few lines. Though I opened this page a few times, but it didn't seem to be "the right time" for me to write. Now it is.

I've already thanked you all. For being there for me and for the conference.

That's why here I just wanted to say that I will definitely remember this conference. Not just as my "third New Horizons". But as the conference that deeply influenced me, my way of work, my motivation level and my own "organizational understanding". It was thanks to everyone I've talked to, thanks to the delegates, who kept being role models for me, thanks to the faci, whose level I tried to strive for.

I can't say that I was "torn to pieces" by the conference. In fact, I am very glad that I wasn't. Instead, it challenged me in many ways and made me think much more than if everything was perfect and cloudless. And I really value this experience. More than any other experiences I've had recently.

Love you all for being so different and so special. Especially to me.

It’s first time for me to write on this blog…

But it’s really the exact time when I feel and have a great desire to share my thoughts, fillings and emotions with you.

I’ve been thinking a lot before sitting and just starting to write this post…What do I want people to read here? What do I have to share? What will be not just interesting but even somehow useful to people who will read this?.. And I didn’t find the better solution to this situation, as to write you about last few weeks of my life – crazy, challenging, emotional, inspiring and motivational, hard and sad sometimes – and all together, the weeks that have made me to think a lot, to learn even more and to look deeper into many things and their importance. I’ve understood that even when I was in such situations when the only thoughts I had in my mind were – “It’s enough! I can’t stand any more! I’m too weak! Why do all these crazy stuff happening with me?.. I’m just a looser…”, I was becoming stronger, wiser, maybe even more proactive, independent and confident. I don’t know how would I behave if I appear in such kind of bad situations being not an aiesecer… and being not with aiesecers…

We usually just talk a lot about the thing that we have always to remember and have in our minds and hearts our common big dream, vision we are moving towards everyday. But it’s quite often that when we face some problems, big or small, we forget about it. Is it right? For me, thanks to these tough few weeks, the answer is obvious – “No way!” ‘Cos actually THIS vision in my mind was that so needed thing, which was driving (and continues to drive) me every day instead of any difficulties, the light in the end of the tunnel that was giving (and gives) me strengths, desire, and ability to fight all my fears, to learn from own mistakes, and to consider any kind of experience (even the worst one) to be the experience, life-changing experience…LIFE-CHANGING AIESEC XP…

Recruitment 2006

I'm getting tired of being the only one publishing posts on this blog, but oh well, it will at least keep me famous for a bit longer ;)
What I want to write is a few words that can describe my feelings about recruitment this year.

This is a special recruitment - from all sides. Many "first times" during it happened. The first time we have ever had awesome recruitment materials like these year's ones. The first time we've had issue-based recruitment. The first time we've had Discussion Clubs. The first time we've had huge and competency oriented applications forms. The first time we've had Recruitment Team (Natalia, Yulia, Nastia, Monika, Ihorko - thank you ;)).

There were mistakes, of course. There were things we did better than expected and things we did a bit worse than expected. We've had our successes and failures.

However, when we were standing in the circle at the end of the LTS and listening to everything that our future generation was saying, I felt so satisfied and happy with the result that it's even hard to explain. I do feel that these people are much better than we were last year, two years, three years ago. I do feel that they are our future. That they are the people we need, the people we want. I hope that you feel the same and that it will prove right.

Thank you - everyone who made at least something to make this recruitment happen. For EB, OCPs, RT, members, for Lviv and Ternopil' interns, for Oksa Zavoyko and Sveta Kroichyk, for Lilia and Oki. Thank you and know that it was because of you that this year we have awesome people to continue organizational development and life ;)

Autumn Conference 2006 in Sevastopil', Ukraine

There were and still are too many impressions from this conference to be able to share all of them consistently and clearly. There is one thing that can be said for sure - AutCo 2006 was one of the best conferences of my life for the last two years. With the passion, spirit, ideas, knowledge, people it brought, it really motivated very many EBs throughout Ukraine. There are many "thank you"s that can be said - to our MC, which proved that it is really "Inspired by AIESEC" both in the conference content and their spirit, to facis for the delivery of the material, to the chair Igor' Solodov for individual approach to every single delegate, to Pavlo Sheremeta for unexpectedness and surprises, to our Lviv EB for ability to learn, work and have fun on the highest level, to all old and new friends for just being there and being friends, to OC for commited and hard work, to the sea and weather for wormth and welcoming atmosphere... And many many more.

The conference passed, but the spirit of AutCo 2006 will stay in my heart for a very long time. Of the conference that showed and taught us a lot more than we expected. That broadened our horizons...

I'm straight from the annual report of our AI team 2005-2006, and still have tears in my eyes. From what Broadie has told, from the whole impression of the last and the current AI teams, from the atmosphere that was in the room during the speech and during their last, goodbye presentation.. An incredible feeling, an absolutely empowerful and impressive emotions right now in me.. We have achieved as an organization so much during the last year - thanks to them, thanks to @ world, thanks to ourselves and our work, and our commitment, and our trust and faith. And I can't stop thinking about how we are going to feel next year.. What we will do for the next year.. What efforts we are going to make to prove their trust in us and to show that all they did wasn't in vain.. To really achieve in the end AEISEC 2010..

I wish you could have been here and see and feel this all by yourself, and that's exactly why I'm trying to pass on at least a little bit of my emotions, of my feelings..

Thank you for being such a wonderful LC of mine, thank you for letting me share this with you.. Can't wait to see you as soon as possible by myself. We're coming back in the morning on the 4th, so see you all on Tuesday for sure,

And again I have a minute to share with you some of the things that are happening here on IC 2006 in Poland. This for surely the most diverse conference in the whole world, a really amazing opportunity to be here is given only to 550 people (and now think of how many millions of youth there are in the world, who would give everything to use this opportunity!)

You all remember all the things that Sveta told you last year about IC in India last year. Well, this IC is very different in many aspects. The main idea is that last year IC was to motivate people about our @ identity, about @ 2010, about all the things that have to be done and started, about the vision of the organization and issue-based experience. Now, this year’s IC has goals more on the level of EXECUTION. We are not concentrating on making people believe and feel all the things that I wrote above, because everyone is already motivated for the changes, for new ideas, for new – identity aligned way to work. We are now concentrating on making all these things happen, on ensuring that all MCs and LCPs are equipped to leave the IC with more tools developed for implementing all the changes. This is how it’s different. Of course not everything can be done at IC, of course you have to be a part of many many important decisions and discoveries, relevant for local reality, but here we have an incredible chance to share the best case practices, the best ideas, the best examples of how certain things work already in different countries and different LCs. And of course it’s all about people who you meet, about relationships that you establish, about growing professional and personal network, started at this conference. Apart from getting so many new diverse friends from all countries I can imagine, I also know for sure that we will keep sharing the ideas, best case practices and our experience all the way after the conference. And this is not only about IC, this is about all international conferences existing – if you haven’t tried yet, you just have to go – plan and save money for it ;)

Today in our agenda we also had the launch of DLD (Developing Leaders Day), which will be all day tomorrow. It is going on for so many years now in a row, and this year their slogan is “Starting leaders from within”. We are all expecting a lot from tomorrow’s day and with wonderful facilitators we have from the supporting partners, I’m sure it will really be great.

I have to go to sleep now, because it’s 3 am, and it was a very eventful day for me, but I just couldn’t help not share with you, guys, how I feel here.

I have to add also how I am impressed with our delegation here – Ukrainian delegation. I am very proud of the knowledge our Ukrainian MC and LCPs have and show during the congress, I am proud by our spirit, and I am very excited about our relationships as friends. It’s really wonderful to feel and to be a part of, trust me ;)

In the end I want to quote one of the partners’ representative on this IC, who has done a wonderful presentation of his company – Alcatel and simply impressed us very much a person himself, he wrote on live.ic2006.pl , you might have read it already, but anyways – this makes me feel so much proud about our organization, that I can’t help sharing it with you:

The last two days, however, were something else. Attending my first IC, I got to experience the buzz of being at the center of AIESEC passion. And I feel changed by the experience. I feel changed by you. You are an inspiring force.
Saturday at the Alcatel Launch, I talked about how we all create our identities by writing the stories of our lives, every day. Well, for two days, meeting as many delegates as I could, I heard the beginnings of amazing stories. You made me yearn to see what will happen next for you: what you will create as you grow in your AIESEC experience, on into your careers, and throughout the full impact of your lives.
Our stories are now subtly intertwined. My colleagues and I watched you collectively writing the next chapter of AIESEC’s story, and that reinforced our desire to continue and grow Alcatel’s global AIESEC partnership. We feel privileged to have AIESEC as a part of Alcatel’s story. And we look forward to meeting some of you again, should you choose to include Alcatel in yours.
From my heart, I want to thank all the leaders of AIESEC – in other words, every one of you – for letting me make IC 2006 part of my story. If I’m very lucky, this AIESEC buzz I feel will continue, and AIESECers will be part of my story for a very long time.

One more IC day..

Pryvit!!!

I have very little time, but I just really want to share one thing with you - yesterday we had Alumni Hall of Fame - Award Ceremony with awarding the most commited alumni of AIESEC in the world. It was so unbelievably great - to see 40-50-60year old people, who have been in AIESEC so many years ago, and stayed with it not only in their hearts but in the actions too, that I felt like crying of all the emotions I had at the moment. Listening them speak about AIESEC, watching their tears of happiness and proud for the organizations and imagining what it will be like to be at IC myself in 10, 20, 30, 40 years..

The thing that I realized last night is that no matter what problems we now have in AIESEC in Ukraine, in @ in Lviv, no matter how we criticize ourselves and evaluate our work all the time, we are still very very young, both as a country and as AIESEC in Ukraine, and we have so much ahead of us, so many things to work on, develop, strive for, so much potential, that I am sure, when I'm going to be old and will come to IC in Ukraine ;), I will be 100 times more proud of our country and changes that AIESEC does in Ukraine, than we are already.

Here I go again having a very short break before dinner and willing to tell you at least something about IC. There's so much I want to share with you, so many things that I will have to tell you after coming back, that it's difficult to choose something to write about, so I'll just share my personal feelings. The thing that probably amazez me most and really motivates and empowers is the discussions that we have, whatever the sessions are and whatever issue we are talking about. There's one rule here - every time when you are in a circle discussing something, you have to change and sit with the group, where you don't know a single person. It's not that hard, considering that there are overall over 550 people in the room ;) And every time, when you sit with this group of different nationalities, characters, colors of skin, having a whole room behind you filled with 90 same groups, it feels like you are really talking with the whole world. Doesn' t matter that we are all so different - we all speak the same language with each other and we are all connected with one goal, with one vision, with very similar beliefs and dreams, one of the most important of which is make positive impact on society.. Do I even have to tell you how wonderful it feels?.. I will never forget this feeling and will treasure it as one of the most precios gifts I could've had during my AIESEC life.

I really want all of you, who are not physically here, try to reach out and BE at IC virtually - on live.ic2006.pl , join the discussions, look through the pictures and videos, attend forums and online dialogues, try to see yourself what IC is like this year - don't miss this opportunity, provided by Global IS Team ;)

Well, first of all a few things about how we arrived here for the pre-meeting of CEE (Central-Eastern Europe Region), which lasted for 3 days and was based on discussing main CEE initiatives (such as CEE CEEDs, CEE Conferences, CEE ER and ohers), searching for the ways of improvement, making cooperation or just broadening our professional and personal network with the CEE MCs and LCs and preparing ourselves for IC. We have a really awesome CEE GN Board - Yard, our Director, JC (you may remember him from WinCo) - our CEE chair, Innes - Project manager and Aghata - ER responsible. And the CEE region is also very positive, professional and exciting, a wonderful place to be in and to work with.

On the 24rd we had Official Opening, yesterday - Opening plenary with roll calls of all the countries - over 95!!! Lasted for 4 hours and was simply amazing - to see all these cultures, all possible colours of skin, all possible and existing accents in the world... I can't even describe the feeling!!!

Then we had Global Village in the center of Warshava, which lasted for another 6 hours and gave us an opportunity to really feel, touch and taste all those cultures and countries, their food, their traditions, their national costumes, their languages, dances and songs.. And of course to show our own, Ukrainian culture - you'll see later on pictures and videos from countries and all the people, at least what we tried to capture :) But believe me it was really amazing!

Later the same yesterday's evening we had a chance to talk online right there in the plenary with all PAIs since 1997, to see how changes in the organization were made and the reasons why those decisions where made, as well as how we got to this point that we are at right now. It was awesome to have this opportunity thanks to our IS team and PAI - Dey, who created the whole session and facilitated the discussion.

We are really short on time here in our breaks - I always have to choose whether to go and have lunch or check my mail :) Right now I'm sitting in the HP computer cafe with over hundred other people at the computers doing the same I'm doing right now - sharing their thougths with their LCs and countries and posting their ideas on the new IC online resource

I sent the other day a link - live.ic2006.pl -- you can see there absolutely everything about IC, participate in online discussions,, forums, see the pictures and videos from teh sessions, downloas sessions and give feedback to them. Don't forget to register first!!! And don't be sorry for extra time - cause i guarantee you are going to love this!!!!

Culture Task Force - 1st meeting

Yesterday we had the first meeting of a task force "How to shape a culture in LC Lviv". Talked about what "culture" is for us in general and in AIESEC in particular, what are the main elements of it on our opinion. Not according any documents or guides, but according to our feelings. Discussed why and what for it's needed and why it is important for each and everyone of us. There were so many opininions, and everyone said something different, but we all agreed on each element mentioned. I guess the main "output" from this first meeting is that we all value our AIESEC culture really much, it's something that we need to constantly work on and build on, and something that depends absolutely on each one of us. The next meeting is more of a constructive type, when we will all have to bring certain ways on improving culture in AIESEC in Lviv. If you have any ideas, you can also comment here, or write us, though participation would be the best way ))

And another birthday today! Of a very special person, who we remember being in OC and OCP of the most fun projects in our LC - Birthday and Ivana Cupala reception weekend, and the most needed projects for another, newborn LC Rivne.

Thank you for everything you did for AIESEC in Lviv, thank you for just being with us and being a role model of responsibility and passion for what you are doing. Even though you are leaving, you'll still stay a member of AIESEC in Lviv. IC Reception Weekend is Over!!!

I am not afraid to repeat here as well that the last weekend was simply awesome!!!

This was definitely the best reception weekend I've ever been to, and as everyone says, it was really the best Ivana Cupala RW ever!

Around 50 delegates of AIESEC + around 100 from the student society, who helped to organize the evening play and show everyone one more time our traditions.

Cold and incredibly great river Stryj right near our camp.

"Vinky" for girls to make them look even more beautiful, traditional clothing "vyshyvankas" on everyone, mountains and fresh air all around us.

Fire, and sitting until 5-6 am with guitar, songs, jokes, games and very special mood.

Congratulating our dear Max Nemesh with his birthday on the phone after 12 o'clock ;)

And then again swimming in the morning, preparing breakfast and sunbathing... Not wanting to leave...

Thank you all for being there and being a part of the great time we had together, and for those who didn't manage to come - make sure you plan it for the next year.

I will definitely be there. Will you? ;)

Ultimate Frisbee Club

We have already a tradition - every Sunday, at 10 am, on the initiative of one of our alumni - Viktor Katolyk, we're playing Ultimate Frisbee, which turned out to be a great opportunity first of all to keep fit, and a great team sport whatsoever ;) Rules are not hard at all, though it's easy to get pritty dizzy the first hour or so from constant change of the field side (which is also part of the rules;))

Hopefully you'll join us on Sundays. Next Sunday, however, is Ivana Kupala Reception weekend, so we've decided to still play, though this time on a really fresh air during the very weekend in the mountains ;)

Today we are celebrating 22 years of our greatest BRAND.

Muzychenko-Brand.

A brand that is well known all over Ukraine and beyond its borders, its strength lies in a magnificent combination of commitment, leadership and passion in every single thing she does.

It’s a walking encyclopedia of @ dances. There are no breaks on aiesec conferences where Muzychenko wouldn’t dance :)

“Breaking stereotypes” – with all her job done not only during this year, she proved that there are no limits in @development and no right way of doing it.

She prepares speeches to convince professors move exams because of her next conference, declines job offers, because “she doesn’t want to be employed, she wants to be empowered”. And that’s exactly what AIESEC offers to her and what she gives whole AIESEC Ukraine in return.

I was talking on MSN with a VP from India, and he asked me whether we had anyone from our side who had gone to India for a CEED or internship. Well, we didn't. And when he asked me why do I think noone wants to go there, I said that there might be few reasons for that: parents, question of safety, and some other preferences (for a variety of reasons). But these are all my suggestions. He answered that India IS a safe country and then I started thinking about what we really know and how we can really judge a country or how it would be like for us there if we don't even know anything about it.

Well I wanted to ask you what are the reasons for which you chose or will be choosing the country you go for an internship to? Will you be guided by the real need of the country? Or by your personal development? Or by the projects or job descriptions? What would be your priorities when choosing?

Stereotypes about AIESEC.

I don’t know how about you, but I sometimes meet people who have stereotypes about AIESEC. And it’s not just something they made up in their minds after seeing our posters or reading another newspaper article. Those are stereotypes that were created long time ago either by their friends who used to be in AIESEC, or by their own time spend in the organization. And these stereotypes are the most difficult ones to break. You see, the thing is that not all of them were necessarily just stereotypes – the organization itself used to be very different from what it is now. But those people don’t want to accept the changes that have been made, they don’t want to change their own set perception of AIESEC, they don’t believe in all the things that we believe now, and they don’t believe that AIESEC now is really trying to become the organization that brings a positive impact on society. They don’t think that it was possible for such changes to come.

The problem is that I don’t always know how to persuade them that we are different now. That we are a serious organization, with a powerful vision, strong tools and incredible people. Did you ever find yourself in situations like this and what's your way of explaining this to the people who already have some stereotypes about AIESEC?
